Who We Are

‘Families, Fathers and Friends’ is a charity that provides information, advice, accredited mediation and counselling services for separated or divorced fathers, so that children do not lose out on the love and care of both parents in situations where the relationship between mother and father breaks down.

Our job is to offer supports that help separated or divorced men play a full and active part in the upbringing of their children. Chief among these is an accessible, high quality counselling service to address issues around marriage and relationship breakdown, including anxiety, anger, depression and suicide.

We work to inform men of their rights and responsibilities on issues of access, custody, guardianship and maintenance. We believe mothers and fathers should have equal standing and respect in the family law and family law courts.

Families, Fathers & Friends is staffed by a small, qualified, dedicated team of volunteer counsellors, who provide first-line counselling support for all clients, and onward referral to specialised health and social services where necessary.

We depend almost entirely on donations from our clients and the public to continue providing counselling services. Please help us by donating as much as you can by using the secure PayPal facility opposite. We really appreciate your help.

Open Monday to Friday 10 – 6. All other times please contact 086 321 6644

Supported by ‘The National Lottery’ and ‘Family Support Agency’
